Cookie Policy

A plain-English explanation of the cookies this website uses, why they're there, and how you control them.

Last updated: 28 April 2026 PECR 2003 & UK GDPR Consent banner active

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files saved by your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember things — like that you've already accepted the cookie banner, or that you came from a Google search. Some cookies are set by us (first-party); others are set by services we use (third-party).

Similar technologies — local storage, session storage and pixels — work in the same way and are covered by this policy.

2. Why we use cookies

  • To make the site work properly (security, form submissions, page caching).
  • To remember your cookie preferences so you aren't asked again on every page.
  • To understand which pages and search terms are most useful, so we can improve the site.
  • To measure how many people contact us after seeing a particular page (conversion tracking).

3. The three categories of cookies on this site

Always on · No consent required

Essential / strictly necessary

Needed for the site to work — security, form spam protection, and remembering your cookie choice. You cannot turn these off because the site won't function without them.

Optional · Consent required

Analytics

Help us count visitors and see which pages perform well. The data is aggregated and anonymised — we don't see who you are personally.

Optional · Consent required

Marketing & conversion tracking

Measure which adverts or campaigns brought you to us. We use these to spend our marketing budget responsibly. Off by default until you accept.

We use IP anonymisation. Google retains analytics data for up to 14 months. Google's privacy policy explains how Google handles the data on its end.

6. Marketing & conversion tracking

If you arrived here by clicking a Google ad or similar campaign, we may set cookies to attribute the conversion (a phone call, WhatsApp click, or form submission) to the campaign that sent you. These are only set after you accept marketing cookies.

7. Third-party services that may set cookies

  • Google Fonts — webfonts (Poppins). No tracking cookies, but Google sees your IP when fonts load. Loaded only on page-render and self-hostable on request.
  • WhatsApp / Meta — only if you click a WhatsApp link, in which case Meta's privacy policy applies.
  • Google Maps — if a page embeds a map, Google sets its own cookies once the map is loaded.
  • YouTube — if a page embeds a video using "no-cookie" mode, YouTube only sets cookies when you press play.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other tracking pixel for ad targeting.

8. How to manage your cookie choices

8.1 On this site

You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the button below — it reopens the consent banner so you can switch analytics or marketing cookies on or off.

8.2 In your browser

You can also opt out of Google Analytics specifically using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Heads-up

Blocking essential cookies will prevent contact forms from submitting and may make parts of the site unusable. Blocking analytics or marketing cookies has no effect on your ability to use the site.

9. Do-Not-Track signals

If your browser sends a Do-Not-Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out from analytics and marketing cookies. We do not load Google Analytics or Google Ads conversion tags when DNT/GPC is detected.

10. Changes to this policy

We review the list of cookies on the site at least every six months. If we add, remove or materially change a cookie, we will update this page and the "last updated" date at the top.
