Don't Use Superglue or Sticky Tape
Superglue inside a lock cylinder leaves permanent residue. Tape is rarely strong enough to grip. Either way, you've made the job harder — and likely written off the cylinder entirely.

Check Your Keys for Wear
Hold your key up to a light and compare it to a fresh copy. Worn keys lose their edge definition — the peaks and valleys that drive the pin tumblers become rounded. They still work, but the tolerances are poor and the stress on the cylinder is much higher. Replace worn keys before they snap.
Don't Force a Stiff Lock
